These terms cover your use of knowpickleball.com. Using the site means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be impenetrable.

What this site is

Dink Theory publishes instructional and reference material about pickleball: rules explanations, court specifications, equipment guides and drills. It is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official source for USA Pickleball, the International Federation of Pickleball, or any equipment manufacturer.

Where we describe rules, we are summarising the published USA Pickleball rulebook in plain English. The official rulebook governs actual play, and where our summary and the rulebook disagree, the rulebook is correct and we are wrong — please tell us so we can fix it.

Use of the content

You are welcome to read, print and share our pages for your own use, and to quote short extracts with a link back. You may not republish articles in full, scrape the site in bulk, or present our material as your own.

All text, diagrams and page layouts on this site are our copyright unless credited otherwise. Photographs are used under the licences noted in their captions and remain the property of their creators — if you want to reuse a photograph, follow its licence, not these terms.

Accuracy, and its limits

We try hard to be accurate and we correct errors quickly when they are reported. We do not promise the site is complete, current or error-free. Rules are amended, equipment standards change, and specifications get revised.

The content is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. You use it at your own discretion and risk.

Physical activity

Pickleball is exercise. Drills, technique advice and training suggestions on this site are general information, not personalised coaching and not medical advice. If you have an injury or a health condition, talk to a qualified professional before acting on anything here. You are responsible for your own safety on court.

Equipment guidance

Our gear guides are editorial opinion and specification analysis. Some pages carry affiliate links, disclosed on the page itself; if you buy through one we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and the commission is the same whichever product you pick. We accept no sponsorship, and no manufacturer pays for or previews coverage. Where a guide is based on published specifications rather than our own hands-on testing, we say so on the page.

Nothing here is a guarantee that a product will suit you. Prices, specifications and availability change without notice, and buying decisions are yours.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from your use of this site or from reliance on its content, including indirect or consequential losses.

Third-party links

We link out to rulebooks, manufacturers and other references. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The version published here, with the date at the top, is the one that applies.

Governing law
